Bars for your Bucks! Bucks for BEAT!

November 29th - December 17th

It’s another battle of bars...and this time our contestants are battling for your bucks! 

BEAT is a nonprofit organization that champions Hip Hop as a dynamic tool in improving physical and mental wellbeing. We believe that Hip Hop improves self-esteem, supports mental health, sustains physical health, and allows people to thrive. And we have 5 contestants willing to put their talents on the line to prove it to you!

This BEAT battle consists of three rounds, where 5 contestants will showcase not only their songwriting abilities, but make the case for why Hip Hop arts education deserves your support! Unlike in our previous battles, no participant will be eliminated. The contestants will get to make their case throughout all three rounds. We’ll host one round every week, launching the videos on Monday and announcing the winner on Friday.

Also different from our prior BEAT Battles, the scoring is different. These contestants appreciate your comments and likes on social media...but donations will propel them to victory! The contestant with the greatest number of cumulative DONORS will win the beat battle. 

To keep things equitable, the SIZE of the donation doesn’t matter. All donations over $1 will count as 1 vote. You may only make ONE donation to the contestant(s) you wish to support each week. You may support your favorite contestant(s) up to three times by donating each of the three weeks of the competition.

But here’s the thing...If you believe that Hip Hop is a key to improving mental and physical wellbeing for kids, young adults, and people with disabilities, then BEAT and our battle contestants need your support! Your donations support the contestants and BEAT’s mission to champion Hip Hop as a dynamic tool in improving physical and mental wellbeing.

Here is just some of what BEAT can do with your support:

• 10.00 USD funds free access for one (1) participant to one  (1) 45-minute workshop.
• 25.00 USD funds free access for two (2) participants to one (1) 45-minute workshop.
• 50.00 USD funds free access for three (3) participants to one (1) 60-minute workshop.
• 100.00 USD funds free access for six (6) participants to one (1) 60-minute workshop.

The bigger your donation, the bigger your impact! 

Our goal of $5000 will fund free access to twenty-four (24) 60-minute workshops at a school or partner site.
